Congratulations to the members of the girls Track & Field team on their 3rd place finish at the Region Championship. The girls team was led by Aamari Kelly. She placed 1st in the Long Jump and 2nd in the Triple Jump. She earned "All-Region" honors. She also finished 5th in the 100. Emerson Guarino finished 2nd in the 100 Hurdles. In the 400 Hurdles, Emerson broke her own school record finishing 6th. The girls 4x400 broke their school record from last year by over 4 seconds. The girls were led by Emerson Guarino, Joby White, Quinn Miller, and 8th grader Brooklyn Nova. The 4x800 team of Acie Vincent, Joby White, Kyra Archer, and Kara Cisco finished 4th. Acie Vincent placed 6th in the 1600 and 5th in the 3200. Quinn Miller placed 4th in the 400. Joby White finished 6th in the 800. Joslyn Davenport finished 4th in the High Jump. Aubryn Salley finished 2nd in Pole Vault. Jovy Landreth finished 4th in Pole Vault. AnnaKate Sanders finished 7th in Javelin.

Congratulations to the members of the boys Track & Field team. The boys team was led by Evan Massey who finished 2nd in the Javelin. The 4x800 of Lucas Miller, Ethan Mackey, Zach Kajdi, and Zach Cisco finished 5th. In the 800, Lucas Miller finished 6th. Lucas Cuevas finished 8th in the long jump. Reese Brown finished 5th in the High Jump.

Gettys Athletes in Action:

Congratulations to the members of the girls Track & Field team on their 3rd place finish. The girls were led by 8th grader Brooklyn Nova. She helped the 4x100 team to a 6th place finish. In the long jump she finished 12th. In the 200 she finished 4th. In the 4x400 she helped anchor the varsity relay team to a new school record, beating last year's school record by 4 seconds. Running personal bests in the JV 1600 were Madison Alexander, Ansley McCarson, Madilyn Harriot, and Brenn Bailey.

Congratulations to the members of the boys Track & Field team on their 8th place finish. The boys were led by Deviro Brown. He ran a personal best in the 110 hurdles and was the only middle schooler in the varsity race. He also ran a personal best in the 400 Hurdles and was the only middle schooler in that race as well. Ian Mosley and Parker Duncan both competed in the pole vault for varsity. Top performers in the boys JV 1600 included: Anthony Romero, Ben Crews, and Jaxon Reed
