The Easley High School Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony will be held on Sept. 4 at halftime during the Green Wave Varsity football game against Riverside. Three past graduates are set to be inducted this year including:

Dr. Erin Barker Lundy

Erin is a 2008 graduate of Easley High School. She excelled in both Cross Country and Track. She was a three time All State runner in Cross Country while being the Individual Region Champ for three years along with being a four time Most Valuable Runner for the Cross Country Team. In Track she was a three-time Region Champion in the 1600 meters and two-time Region Champion in the 3200 meters as well as being the 800-meter Region Champion in 2007. She was named Easley Track Most Valuable Runner in track for three years. She was the State Runner Up in the 1600 meters making her All State in Track in 2008. She was a member of the French Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and was on the Yearbook staff. She was the Wendy’s High School Heisman State Winner & National Finalist. She won the US Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete Award & was a Shrine Bowl Game Ball Runner in 2007. She was also a representative from Easley at Palmetto Girls State.

She ran track and cross country at Furman where she was selected Cross Country All Southeast Region and 1st Team All-Southern Conference. She was the MVP for both Cross Country & Indoor Track as well as being All-Southern Conference in Indoor Track. When she graduated from Furman, she held four track records. At Clemson she was again named Southeast All-Region in Cross Country. After Clemson, she attended the University of North Florida and received a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2016.

Presently, she is married to Matthew Lundy of Ponte Vedra, FL and they live in Charlotte, NC and have one daughter. After a period of time working as a Pediatric Physical Therapist doing Home Health, Erin currently is a stay-at-home mom.

Justin Bray

Justin Bray was a 1999 graduate of Easley High School. While in high school, Justin excelled in Football and Baseball for the Green Wave. He was a member of the varsity football team for three years, a member of the varsity baseball team for four years and a member of the Post 52 American Legion Baseball Team for five years.

In football, he was a three-way starter his senior year as he started at wide receiver, defensive back and was also the kick off specialist as well as the kicker for field goals and extra points. He is remembered for kicking the game winning field goal late in the fourth quarter to upset Dorman in the seniors’ last game of the 1998 season.

He received the Hustle Award in football his senior year and was voted Best Defensive Player in baseball his senior year as well. He was also selected Best Defensive Player for the American Legion Team in 1998. Justin was also selected All Region in baseball following his senior season. Justin was voted by his classmates as Most Popular his senior year and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Justin was an active member of Easley First Baptist Church and participated in the choral program from a very young age all the way through the Youth Choir his senior year. Justin planned to attend Clemson University in the fall of 1999 but tragically was killed on June 13, 1999 while delivering papers working for the Greenville News. Justin touched the lives of everyone he met and had a lasting impact on his school, his classmates and the entire Easley community.

David Green

David is a 2002 graduate of Easley High School. He excelled in Cross Country and Track for the Green Wave. He was named All State in Cross Country in 2000 and 2001. He was the State Champion in Track for the 1600 meters in 2002 as well as being named All State in Track. He set the school record in both the 1600 meters and the 800 meters. He was a member of the Cross Country team for four years and the Track team for six years. For his dedication to the Cross Country team and the Track team, David was chosen as a captain for both programs. David was also a member of the Navy JROTC Program at Easley High School and also participated in the Wrestling Program.

Following high school, David attended Coker College, now Coker University in Hartsville and was a part of their Cross Country program for four years. During his time as a member of the Cross Country team, he was named All Conference for the Carolinas Conference all four years he was a student-athlete at Coker.
He graduated from Coker College in 2006 with a degree in History. David joins his brother, Adam, as a member of the Easley Green Wave Athletic Hall of Fame who was inducted in 2019.

Presently, he lives in Easley and is employed by the Greenville County School District. He is married to the former Melissa Benscoter of Atlanta and they have two sons.
